Author:Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralles

Pages:194

Publication:Penguin Random House UK

My Opinion: The International Bestseller of Hector and Francesc is certainly a sophisticated classy product to read that provide all worldly knowledge in a single go. The author made the complete book around Japanese culture and revealed the secret of long life that most of Japanese people follow. But first of all author tells what exactly ‘ikigai’ means in one’s life.

Ikigai is the reason for your being. It is the reason which pushes you up in morning to get up, encourages you to walk in long dusty road to achieve your goal and never let you to stop before achieving the goal set by you. The book tells us relation between our needs, passion, love and aim which collectively form our ikigai.

The book also discuss about how our ikigai is responsible for our long life and encloses several secrets to long and happy life. The author advises how to live life when you get old and still passionate about living further gloriously. In the book writer tells us about his visit to Japan and shares all the knowledge and experience he gained from each and every sect person of Japan.

It is good to exercise but don’t become too harsh to your own body instead remain in continuous motion to make metabolism dynamic. The author describes about ‘flow’ and how to achieve it. Reading the book makes you feel like that yes exactly you too are going to live for 100+ years, only if you follow the advises given in the book. The book discusses about the interview with several people who achieved near and 100+ age not only from Japan but from several other countries around the globe.

The thing I liked next to abundant knowledge is the short deep meaning Japanese quotes given in book that have their own importance in book. The book ends with simple advice on investment that how it can change your life and help in following your hobbies. It advices to have primary and secondary occupation in order to survive in harsh times and to get extra edge in life.

The book is surely a “must read”. You can rely on the facts provided in books as all things mentioned in the book really exist and has key role in life to play.

                        Hope this article helped you.
